The shot of Bowie had no ‘flash’ face paint. This was created on system,
to match the old ‘Ziggi Stardust’ David Bowie album cover where his face was painted in the same fashion. Bowie was not happy with Q Magazine for this image, but Q Magazine thought it improved the shot! The magazine ran the issue with this image on the front cover.
